B.B.B. Chocolate Chip Cookies

Brown butter bourbon chocolate chip cookies.... With a touch of sea salt sprinkled on top. Yes, they are as rich as they sound.

In the off chance you weren't aware, Southerners love(eee) to booze up their food, especially around the holidays. This time around I took a my go-to chocolate chip cookie recipe and made a few adjustments. I browned the butter before adding it to the sugar mix and followed it with bourbon to taste (3 teaspoons and a splash). I highly recommend tasting after each teaspoon. Some people like less and some people like more.

Regarding your little ones: Sometimes kids do not care for (pitch a fit) changes in regards to their sugar fix. Especially if they have been waiting all day for homemade cookies. If this is a legitimate fear, I suggest omitting the alcohol in the main mix and, instead, soaking raisins, walnuts or pecans in the good stuff for a few hours (to overnight) and set aside some cookie dough to mix them in with. This way the kids get a traditional cookie and the adults get one with more layers to the flavor.

Enjoy!
